Continued from Part 2.

Season 2 follows a similar pattern albeit we don’t get Lois doubting her relationship with Clark. What allows Superman to be captured is because while covering Hank Henshaw’s shuttle takeoff he has to stop it from blowing up, which in turn leaves him to be ambushed by Supergirl who chastises him for helping the very planet that hates him.
Episode 1 mostly is the same, only Hank is working for Lex for his space programme and shows open distrust to Superman. Hank reveals that a spaceship was seen over the Antarctic twenty years ago. Seeing that it’s around the same time he came to Earth, Clark goes there with Lois, Jimmy and Lucy where they find Sarge Steel and Elias Orr have captured a robot called Kelex and are trying to find the ship’s location. Sam had followed them and is trying to kill Elias and Sarge to leave his family alone. After saving Kelex, Clark fixes him but Kelex goes to combat mode and takes on a form similar to the Eradicator. With the ice shifting thanks to the fight, Sarge and Elias retreat while Superman finally turns Kelex off and adjusts a few things then gets him back on. Kelex is sorry, showing Clark the Jor-El consciousness and fixes the language issues. Clark asks Jor-El what really happened to Krypton, with Jor-El revealing that Krypton was in a civil war that saw General Zod’s followers ruin their planet. Jor-El tells Superman that his cousin Kara is out there, sent with him to look after him. Clark activates a homing signal for Kara to find. Lucy tries on the costume found in the Fortress. Kelex tells Superman he will get the Fortress up to date and to look more cosy for him. Sarge and Elias are approached by Lex Luthor who wants to help them in stopping the Kryptonians and Hank is all for it while Corben is getting his body fixed up.
Episode 2 focuses on Clark getting a Valentines gift for Lois and happily tells his mum and dad he’s got a cousin out there. Ma and Pa remind Clark that she herself will need a lot of help once she comes to Earth but they will be there for her. Lucy has been keeping her dad at her apartment in secret and while chatting with him and Lois things get a little tense as Lois recalls the tough childhood Sam gave them. Though he does regret how he handled things, Sam does note to Lois his training for her and Lucy made them strong enough to handle themselves in tough fights. Jimmy then tells everybody there’s a ghost stalking Metropolis. It’s the suit that Lucy wore in the Fortress, coming to life and beating up criminals more brutally, going to the prison where Archer, Blackrock and Les are in, trying to kill them. Superman stops the suit but upon seeing Ron the suit kidnaps him. Calling Kelex, Superman finds out the suit is a bonding suit that connects to a non powered being but it also latched onto the emotions. Realising it’s powered by Lucy’s negative emotions, Lois and Lucy call the suit into letting Ron go. With Ron spared, Superman rips the suit to shreds. Lucy feels dreadful for it but Lois and Ron forgive her. Sam swears he will make things right and reveals he’s working with Silas Stone in trying to help turn Livewire and Volcana back to normal.
Episode 3 adapts the introduction of Brain and Mallah. Clark visits the Fortress and sends out another message to Kara, telling her he cannot wait to meet her and that she’s got so many people waiting for her. Clark finds out Perry is trying to stop Lois from going out looking into criminals as he fears for her safety. Jimmy shows Clark and Lois strange light beams over the woods. Sam then reached out to Lois, revealing that there’s an old research facility where Titano is, they were experimenting on apes. Seeing it’s the same place the light beams are, Clark, Lois, Jimmy and Lucy go there where they meet a mysterious woman called Allura who’s trying to get in. Fighting the automated security and the robots, they get inside and find Titano who is trying to get free. Lois empathises with Titano and sets him free to help Superman defeat the robots. Allura is revealed to be the giant queen of her own planet, hearing Titano’s calls. The beams were her trying to teleport in the base to get to Titano but the barrier was stopping her. With the ape freed, Allura takes him back with her where he will be welcomed and loved by others. Clark hopes he can do the same with Kara. The episode ends with Equss being tortured by Zod with Kara demanding to know why he was trying to kill Superman. Zod kills him and walks alongside Kara. Jax-Ur then comes and tells Kara that Superman is okay, he sent out a few messages to her. Reading them, Kara tells Zod she will go to Earth and find Clark while she finds out more of Earth.
Episode 4 adapts Mr Myxzlpkt’s episode but instead of him it’s Mr Z. Following a interview at John Henry Irons showing off his mech suit, Clark takes Lois out and Lois admits she can’t help but wonder how Clark can care for her when all her dad did to him. Clark reminds her that she’s not her dad and even he is trying to make things right. Lois smiles and is chuffed Clark has such a good heart. While walking home though they are ambushed by Mr Z who takes Clark. Mr Z forces Clark into an arena in the far future where he runs a secret elite fighting tournament, he and others are bored with the eternal peace Superman created, he’s kidnapped famous heroes to have them fight. Lois goes to Kelex for help, calling him on Clark’s watch. Defeating a few constructs, Superman meets the other heroes who were kidnapped, Jonah Hex and Alan Scott. They were kidnapped from their own places in time, with them starting to feel hopeless about never getting home. Clark refuses to give up and tells them they have to fight back. Mr Z then gets them all to come out and wants them to fight each other, but Superman refuses, hence Mr Z creates a monstrous construct of their greatest foes. Together they prove themselves against the construct and break free of their restraints. Lois gets Kelex to help recreate the portal Clark was taken into. With the portal open, Superman watches as Jonah shoots the jewel of Mr Z and the arena collapses with everybody escaping. Going to the Fortress, Kelex sees that soon enough Jonah and Alan will be going back to their points in time. Clark and Lois get a little interview with them before they go. The episode ends with Clark and Lois writing up about Jonah and Alan of there being older heroes before Superman.
Episode 5 sees Winslow and Hiro request Superman pose for them to do modelling for their toys. Corben meanwhile flexes his enhanced body with his Kryptonite heart and Lex chooses to send him out to find Superman. Sarge and Elias are helping him and Hank construct a laser cannon that is powered by Kryptonite. While trying to make Winslow and Hiro get along, with Jimmy having fun photos, Superman is then ambushed by Corben. Superman is confused as to how he got these cybernetics, he thought Corben was in hospital. Lois is there and Corben tries to grab her which only angers Superman who fights him. Hiro is loving the brutal fight. John’s artificial skin is punched apart and reveals his metallic face, angering him to which he blasts Superman with Kryptonite. Seeing it works Lex orders him to leave but he refuses, hence Lex takes control of his body to get him to return. Lois and Clark and Lucy confront Sam on Corben but he’s stunned. With Kelex’s help they’re able to trace the Kryptonite to LexCorp. Kara comes to Earth.
Episode 6 has Lois, Clark and Sam plan to expose Luthor. Jimmy meets Kara and they get up to all kinds of fun. Kara is surprised by humanity and asks Jimmy if humans hate Superman. Jimmy chuckles, saying he’s met lots of people who love him, he should know because he knows Superman. Kara doubts herself then reveals that Superman is her cousin. Wowed that she’s here, Jimmy tries to find Clark. Lex is doing a presentation of his shuttle of which Lois and Clark are there. Sam secretly meets with Elias and Sarge, demanding to know what they’re doing and wants in. Lex is smug with Clark and Lois, Hank meets them and says he’s happy to be the shield for Earth. He is about to get in the shuttle but it starts to explode. Clark becomes Superman right as Kara and Jimmy find him. Superman stops the explosion but is weakened by the Kryptonite inside. Kara is angry at this and tries to kill Lex and Hank though Superman stops her. Kara fights Superman, angry he is choosing to help those who hurt him. Kara defeats him and takes him into space. Lex has Hank go out and say that the Kryptonians are here to take over but he will not let them. Elias and Sarge are then knocked out by Sam who takes their phones, knowing all their secrets with Lex are on there.
Episode 7 has Superman meet Zod, who lets him and Kara get to know each other for a bit. Though Kara is angry that he chooses to help those who hurt him, Clark notes not everybody is evil and even those who try to hurt him don’t deserve death. He does point out that he saw her with Jimmy and he wasn’t a bad human, was he? Kara asks what life has been like on Earth, he admits it’s been a little hard with not knowing who he is but he’s found out more and more. Clark asks why she’s working with Zod, he knows he only made Krypton die. Kara refuses to believe it, thinking the humans lied to him but Superman says humans never knew anything of Krypton, he found out through Kelex’s memory and history of Krypton. Kara is stunned by this while Zod watches, wondering if he has to brainwash Kara again. Back on Earth, Sam tells Lois, Jimmy and Lucy what he found out. Elias and Sarge have worked with Lex in creating copies of Metallo and the shuttle is armed with a laser canon powered by Kryptonite, with hundreds of Metallo’s within it. Desperate to get Clark back, Lois gets Maggie to drive them to the airport where she, Jimmy and Lucy steal a plane to fly to the Antarctic. Clark is then brought to Zod who wants to see into his mind. The episode ends with Superman painfully forced to reveal his memories to Zod as Kara looks on in horror at how he’s in so much agony with it.
Episode 8 mostly does a longer version of Zod mentally talking with Superman in Man of Steel. Kara gets worried for Clark and knocks Jax-Ur unconscious and links her mind up, finding that Kelex was right, Zod had led Krypton to its death and she was brainwashed into killing many people. Superman asks Zod what became of Nemesis Omega, Zod is confused to which Superman explains Faora was with another Kryptonian. He can’t remember his name but Zod never saw him again. In the Antarctic, Lois and Lucy suit up in their suits while Kelex bonds with Jimmy, all of them getting in a Kryptonian shuttle and flying into space. Kara ends up in a fight with Faora then escapes when she sees outnumbered. Zod leaves Superman to the Black Mercy to bend his mind to his will. The episode ends with Kara getting to the shuttle while Zod’s fleet goes to Earth.
Episode 9 is about Lois overcoming her issues with Kara to save Superman. On Earth, Sarge Steel and Metallo try to muscle their way in on Irons’ company but are stopped by him, Irons will help people escape with his mech suits but he won’t give them to Luthor. Getting on the ship Superman is in, the heroes battle Jax-Ur while Lois connects to the Black Mercy to free Superman. Kara traps Jax-Ur in the Phantom Zone, Superman is freed and they destroy the ship, all of them going to find Zod has started battling Earth.
Episode 10 is the big battle, Hank shoots out a huge ray of Kryptonite that kills a few Kryptonians and the Metallo’s battle those that are left. The Kryptonians start to fight back by shooting the Metallo’s and destroy Hank’s shuttle, ripping him out of there and leaves him to fall from space. Corben saves him and gets him to Lex while the Metallo’s continue to battle the Kryptonians. Superman and Kara confront Zod, telling him to give up, if he wants a new Krypton he can go to an uninhabited planet but he won’t, not while there’s “inferior” species. Kelex adds a few Phantom Projector’s to the shuttle and starts sucking in as many Kryptonians there are. The fight ends with Elias and Sarge and Corben killed while Zod is sent into the Phantom Zone after he takes a big punch from Superman and Kara. The only loss for the heroes is that Sam’s recording of Sarge and Elias was lost in the fight so they have no way of getting Luthor arrested. Kara is brought to Kent farm where she meets Ma and Pa Kent who happily welcome her in. It ends with Lex lamenting on the loss of Elias and Sarge but says Corben will live on through Hank.
Season 3 is the same but a bit longer. Oh and the heroes make more of an effort to find Bizarro.

Episode 1 opens the same but Kara is haunted by Zod and feels with all she did she doesn’t deserve Superman or his friends, though Superman comforts her, reminding Kara she was being brainwashed and it wasn’t of her own choice. The Kent’s take Kara in and there’s some comedic scenes of her helping on the farm and finds photos of Clark as a kid which Lois thinks is adorable. They hear about strange monsters appearing and then disappearing which gets Superman and Kara’s focus. They fight the monsters but find they’re near invulnerable. Superman a first thinks Luthor is behind this but upon scanning the monsters he’s surprised to find there isn’t anything inside of them. Lois and Sam try to find out what became of Hank but they can’t get anything, leaving them to think Hank died in the battle. The monsters disappear and Superman and Kara are baffled. While this occurred a robbery took place. Chasing leads, Clark notices every time the monsters appear there’s a robbery by a man wearing a black mask. Dyna Mind is defeated with John Henry Irons stepping up to work with Sam in building a facility that is dedicated to helping those who were manipulated and mutated by Elias and Sarge Steel. Livewire and Volcana are among them.
Episode 2 has Effron the Sorcerer coming to Metropolis and turning most of its populace into his faceless army, leaving Superman, Lois, Kara, Jimmy, Irons and Maggie to fight. Luthor watches on from his tower with Mercy and uses the chance to access more of Elias and Sarge’s works, finding there was an old experimental facility that was harvesting Kryptonian DNA. Luthor then opens a door to reveal the corpses of the Kryptonians who were killed during Zod’s takeover. Superman and Supergirl defeat Effron.
Episode 3 adapts the episode Bizarro is introduced in. On Halloween Clark talks to Lois about the future, hoping they can settle on a farm together with kids of their own. Lois is a bit shy since it’s early days and she is getting use to the fact Lucy could be getting married soon. Clark and Lois are then approached by Sam about the facility so they go to look into it with Jimmy and Kara. There they find the clone created from Nemesis Omega’s DNA trying to fight a robot Lex Luthor sent after him. Superman gets the clone out as the facility floods and looks for him. The clone and his pet stumble around in the forest until more robots surround him, he is backed up by Superman and Kara. The robots are destroyed and the clone is brought to the Fortress where Kelex helps teach him about Krypton and the life Superman lives by. Kelex can’t even find a name for the generic template which is confusing. Superman and Jimmy believe Luthor was who created the robots bit because they can’t find the LexCorp insignia on or inside it they got nothing. In LexCorp, Lex begins to graft the Kryptonian cells into Hank’s body, which has had several limbs and his face replaced with cybernetics. Hank wakes up and smirks, saying he feels good.
Episode 4 adapts Toyman’s return. But it’s actually about Toyman, not a romp about a convention and Hank coming in and beating him up in the end. Winslow Scott debuts his newest toy line to compete with Hiro’s brand, including Superman’s “Toy Buddy”. Clark is weirded out by it though he is joked about that. Clark and Lois are suspicious of how advanced the toys are and wonder if they are operating within the legal rights. The Toy Buddy ends up hurting a few bullies, Superman steps in and stops it. He, Lois and Maggie confront Winslow who tries to blame Hiro for ruining him. Winslow flees and tries to take over Metropolis with his toy army, going after Hiro. Superman and Kara defeat the toy army and rip Winslow’s toy mech to shreds but are suddenly stunned as Hank flies in and hangs Winslow high over the ground, proudly introducing himself as the Man of Tomorrow.
Episode 5 has the clone learning more from Kelex then sees Hank through the Fortress connecting to Jimmy’s camera, Kelex gets worried at what this is. Superman talks to Hank in handing Winslow to the police to which Luthor agrees, that Winslow stole from him. Hank does so reluctantly and Lois begs Hank to tell them what Luthor has done to him. Both her and Clark look into this while Jimmy and Kara go to the Fortress to see how the clone is doing. The clone has started to talk albeit in broken English. Clark talks with the janitor Maxwell in what he might’ve heard at LexCorp. Maxwell says that ever since the attempted takeover Lex has not been seen around the building that much, he saw Corben bring Hank to the building and several body bags were brought in as well. He offers Clark a key but Clark assured him there’s no need. Lois meanwhile gets to interview Lex for the Planet with Hank. Lex is smug about it but Lois asks Hank if this is what he really wants. Hank says with his new body he can do things Superman can’t do and starts to ask Lois what Superman stands for, where did he come from and why is he here, suggesting Superman might be wanting Earth for his own means. Lois refutes this and scolds Hank. Clark gets in a hoodie and runs fast into a door leading into the secret parts of the base where he finds the Kryptonian bodies. Hank shows some of his abilities but causes a spill of liquid that gets on Maxwell who turns into Parasite. Superman stops Parasite and gets him taken to the facility Livewire and Volcana are in. The interview is cancelled by Perry as Luthor felt it was not worth it. Clark though tells everybody what he found and he fears for what else Lex is keeping the bodies for.
Episode 6 has Lex sending Hank out to where Archer, Blackrock, and Ferlin to eliminate them for stealing government tech, but he must do it discreetly. Hank watches as they come out in the courtyard and snatches them up so fast nobody saw him. Superman and Kara see him taking them to the falls where he will throw them to their deaths but is stopped. Superman tries to reason with Hank who argues that those abuse stuff that doesn’t belong to them must be punished but Superman argues they were serving their time. Hank laughs and asks if Superman is fooling everybody, thinking he’s secretly getting Livewire and Volcana to help him and Kara take over Earth. Superman however asks what Lex wants to which Hank says it’s a better future without Superman. Lex calls off the fight, bringing Hank back. Hank gets annoyed at how Lex is treating him like a toy but Lex notes that the mission was aborted because Superman and Kara found out, he’s gonna need to create a lie to trick everybody into believing him, he wants Hank to play ball. Hank begrudgingly agrees. Superman and Kara return the prisoners but Lex says it was all an experiment to see how fast Hank was at capturing criminals. In the episode we also see Kara and Lucy bonding over fashion while Lois urges Jimmy to be honest with Kara, all the while she thinks of the future with Clark, coming to like the idea of being a mum and living life away from the city. The episode ends with Jon being sent back by Lex.
Episode 7: It’s mostly the same as the actual episode except instead of bringing peace about between the humans and the Tyranosari, Jon helps his dad defeat the Brain Cells, a robot that controls brain like robots to take control of others. We also briefly see Kathy, Damian, Emiko and Wallace in the future before they’re killed by Hank. However, Lois is still unsure if Jon is telling the truth so they go to the Fortress and have him scanned by Kelex who says Jon is their son. He’s not sure about the clone because his mum and dad never told him of him. The episode ends the same.
Episode 8 is mostly the same as well, but Jon explains he didn’t just have Kara, he also had Jimmy, Kelex and his friends to help him and battle Hank and his robots. The episode ends with Jon going back to the future but Lex is now the ruler of the Earth. Clark still loses his powers.
Episode 9: Clark returns to the Fortress of Solitude after he gets better and wears a suit that grants him super strength and flight but has lost his heat vision, super breath, x-Ray vision and super hearing. Though he does his hardest, some people have noticed he’s not as strong as he use to be. During the time gap Roderick escaped prison and raids the gala the heroes are at to cocoon everybody up and has made mutated ant soldiers. Bizarro comes to help Superman, Roderick is defeated but Superman still retains an injury. He, Lois, Jimmy and Kara are kidnapped by Mr Z who wants Superman at his weakest and will have him fight now that he’s lost most of it.
Episode 10: Mr Z makes Superman remove his suit so he can compete in a few trials with Kara, wanting revenge on Superman for ruining his private arena business. Clark struggled but uses his quick thinking to win the battles against Mr Z’s other “guests” who include a Brainiac robot minion. Lois and Jimmy escape their cells and battle Mr Z, sending him to a whole other time period and return themselves and Clark and Kara back to their present. The episode ends with Jon and his sister returning.
Episode 11 has Jon being less angsty. He is a bit sadder mostly because he remembers the last time he came back and was brought to another future where evil was the winner. He at least was happy to have Cir-El/Lara as his sister. He and Cir-El return with them explaining Lex is now in control of the future, having obtained control of Kelex and the Eradicator to create a morph suit that will trap anybody inside them and become his minions. They either have to kill Lex or Kelex and it’s Cir-El who is more willing to kill Lex while Jon tries to find another way. Clark himself notes that Lex doesn’t know where the Fortress is but Lois thinks because Hank knew about the ship seem over the Antarctic that could clue Lex in. Hank is dead but Lex could still have access to his memory. Sam goes to finally close LexCorp and that’s when Cir-El tries to kill Lex, who now willingly sends out his artificial Kryptonian to fight her. It goes kinda the same only here it’s Clark who almost dies as his super suit’s shield is destroyed by the clone. Unlike the actual episode in which the clone takes Jon’s time device, it instead crushes it and goes on a rampage where it absorbs Kryptonian cells. Kara gets Clark to the Fortress where Kelex theorises the only way to restore him back to his absolute strength is to inject him with a whole other Kryptonite and will try to find the Kryptonian data on time travel. Clark accepts it.
Episode 12 doesn’t feature the simulation Superman is placed in since Brainiac isn’t a part of the series yet, and to me the actual episode seemed to be the writers trying to correct the fact they made Brainiac a robot and threw in his Coluan origins. Here Clark is injected with red blue Kryptonite which restores his powers but he needs a support suit to stabilise him, thus he wears the black suit. Kara has to go back to help battle the clone, who’s looking more like Doomsday. Kelex does find data on time travel but doesn’t have the time to build a Time Machine. The battle is long and hard with Bizarro getting killed, Kelex’s Eradicator body wrecked and Irons hurt, Superman gets his powers back and opens the Phantom Zone, punching the clone into it. Jon and Cir-El begin to fade as the timeline has now shifted, they hug Clark and Lois who tell them no matter what, they will always be loved. Lex is arrested and Irons buys up his assets so he can start his own efforts to make more suitable, healthy and fine homes in Metropolis, Jimmy and Kara start dating and Clark buys a wedding ring. It ends with Brainiac opening his eyes meeting the Black Zero, who says he has just the planet for him.

Season 4 is the last season, features the debuts of Brainiac, Black Zero, the Insect Queen, and the Time Trapper. Also appearing here is Lana Lang, Clark’s old friend.

Episode 1 sees Clark thinking of how to propose to Lois and gets advice from his mum and dad. Kara talks of Kandor with him, Jimmy and Lois while visiting the Fortress of Solitude but while there Lois and Jimmy get a message seemingly from the Daily Planet but it’s in fact a scam set up by the Prankster who is trying to gain access to their finances. John Irons is getting the same problem while trying to set up Iron Corp after buying up Lex Corp. Kelex quickly shuts out the Prankster and managed to trace where he is. Superman and Supergirl trace the Prankster to Metropolis where they go to his apartment and are stunned by his moon crystals. Oswald Loomis uses the moon crystal to conjure up trick gimmicks that gives Superman and Supergirl the run around until they overcome them and force him to give up. It seems he does until he shocks them with an electric palm then runs for it until Supergirl grabs him and brings him up to the roof, where she and Superman question him of why he’s doing this. Oswald use to work for Lex Luthor and he thought things would get better now he was behind bars but since Irons has bought Lex Corp, and the Daily Planet helped him, he thinks they’re taking him and others for fools and yells Superman is no better than Luthor. Superman is baffled by this but tells Oswald he never gave Irons a chance and points out that he’s the one who’s stolen the items from Lex Corp and hurt people. Oswald is left gobsmacked and Kara scolds him for being so foolish. Oswald is arrested and Kara remarks back on Krypton criminals who acted like fools had to be punished by suiting up as jesters and mock themselves. Clark admits it’s a shame he never got to see Krypton but he is glad to have its history preserved in the Fortress. Clark asks Kara how she feels about him marrying Lois, which earns him a big hug from her.
Episode 2 sees Superman and Supergirl going to the opening of Iron Corp with Lois doing a fun interview with him. While there though Superman and Lois are approached by an elderly woman called Lan-Shin-Lee, who thanks them for saving her back when she was little. They are confused until a time hole opens and Mr Z returns, dragging Superman and Lois back through to make them see true hatred. Mr Z was trapped in the past since their last meeting and had been using old technology trying to recreate the time hole. He brings them to the late 1940s where Mr Z theorises since they’re in the past there’s nothing Superman or Lois can do to stop the hate crimes of the time, that being the KKK terrorising anybody who isn’t a pure American. They encounter the Lees and their daughter Roberta, but Superman and Lois use disguises Nite-Wing and Purple Bird to thwart the KKK and protect the Lees and others they’ve been terrorising. The Lees find out he’s Superman but he tells them they must keep quiet. Mr Z tried to align with the KKK by offering them time travel but it goes a bit wrong. With them defeated, Superman and Lois return to the modern day where they finally have Mr Z sent to prison and thank Lan-Shin who was Roberta.
Episode 3 sees Lana debut. She comes to Metropolis seeking to work at Iron Corp. while being interviewed by Irons Lana is surprised as Superman comes by fighting Effron the Sorcerer who escaped prison. Irons helps him defeat Effron but Lana recognises Superman and once they’re alone she calls him Clark. Realising it’s her, Clark hugs Lana, surprised to find she’s here. He explains to Irons Lana is an old friend of his though he dampens his excitement as he realises something isn’t right, but just to be sure he takes Lana to the Daily Planet to meet Lois and Jimmy, where Lana is happy to find Clark has found a place he feels he belongs. Clark thought talks with Lois, admitting that Lana disappeared before he came to Metropolis, she went missing on holiday with her parents. He then gets a call from his mum and dad who tell him the Langs are back. Going to Smallville, Clark, Lois, Jimmy and Kara are surprised to find the Langs are well happy. Having dinner together, Clark asks what happened. Lana explains that they fell in a cave and were rescued by a local tribe which Clark finds a bit suspicious though he’s still happy Lana is back. Lana explains since Iron Corp was taking on those outside Metropolis she decided to come to do work that can help farmers. Kara and Clark can hear loud crunching coming from the barn, using their x-ray vision they can see something large inside the barn. They go back after dinner and find a large insect like alien inside.
Episode 4 continues on from it with Lana arriving and the insect talks through her, revealing that Lana and her parents did fall in a cave and found the Insect Queen struggling to live. They helped her and while she was grateful she saw how Earth was a suitable place for her to start life anew with her kids. The Insect Queen is afraid that Superman and Supergirl will kill her so she cocoons them up and throws them in a pit to be eaten by her mutant ants. Lana wrestles control from the Insect Queen, her memory having been partially blocked by her, telling the Insect Queen Clark is her friend but the Insect Queen tells her that her species need to live and she won’t let a superior predator harm her. Superman and Supergirl wrestle free of the cocoons and see Lana and her parents are driving to Metropolis with a truck full of cocoons. Getting together with Lois, Jimmy and Irons they don’t the brainwashed Langs and fight them and the insects. Superman showing restraint and refusing to kill the insects has the Insect Queen delve into Lana’s memories, finding that Clark always was a good person who helped out. Realising what she did was wrong the Insect Queen lets Lana go. Superman offers to help the Insect Queen find a more hospitable planet to thrive on without coming to fight anybody. They look for a planet and find it. Lana still has the desire to do right by the farming community and Irons takes her on. The Insect Queen tells Superman her planet was destroyed by a man called Brainiac.
Episode 5, 6, 7 and 8 sees it all based around Brainiac’s quest to take the cities of Earth. The Black Zero first arrives to steal the world’s most famous treasures for himself before he is defeated by Superman and Supergirl. Though he’s captured he reckons Brainiac will be here soon. Brainiac comes and we have Irons make a virus with Kelex to bring his Skull Ship to the ground. There’s a funny segment in that Lois, Jimmy, Irons and Lana fight his robots in the shrunken Metropolis. Superman battles Brainiac while Supergirl saves the shrunken cities with Brainiac succumbing to the environment and dies while Black Zero flees into space.
Episode 9 sees Superman and Supergirl restore Kandor to its full size where Kara reunites with her mother but there’s no sign of her father. Clark is fascinated to talk to more of his people, who reveal they opposed the empire and prefer to live a quieter life. However, Zor-El awakens under the city with an implant that allows him to create nanotechnology to fight Superman and convert everybody into cyborgs, he was a failed experiment by Brainiac. Kara manages to reach out to her dad while Superman tears out the implant, turning Zor-El back to normal. With Kandor now the first city on a new planet Clark is pleased to finally have a part of his Homeworld back.
Episodes 10, 11 and 12 are the finale. Clark is about to propose to Lois when the Time Trapper appears and brings them, Jimmy, Kara, Black Zero, Zod, Luthor, and many more characters back to have a final battle, out of hope to kill Superman and change the past. Jon and Cir-El are brought in again but they look a lot happier, their future is now peaceful. Zod is killed and the Time Trapper has a mental breakdown, revealing he is Nemesis Omega, the Kryptonian. He rants that he wants to be free of the entity that he is and thinks killing Superman will restore him to his own timeline as does the Trapper. Superman, Supergirl, Jon and Cir-El punch him so hard that not only does reality reset and send them back to before they were taken but Nemesis Omega has been released, albeit he’s lost his powers due to the temporal energy that affected his body, leaving him to be arrested. Clark proposes to Lois who says yes. We get an ending montage of the wedding, the adventures Clark and Lois go on, the birth of Jon, the wedding of Kara and Jimmy, Smallvile becomes a splendid prospering town and it ends with an older Clark and Lois telling Jon and Cir-El to be good before they leave to save the day with Clark kissing Lois once again and it ends.
