Hey everybody! I'm back!

Two weeks have flown by in a flash and now I'm here with a new post to tell you all about it! As mentioned in my last post, I took a break from uploading blog posts because I was going on holiday to Florida. This is my first time ever going on holiday to America, and it's by far the biggest holiday I've been on in my life thus far! So what did I do while I was there? I spent about four days at Universal Orlando and also got to visit the Discovery Cove Water Park. But that's not what this essay is about. I'm talking about the main event and the big reason why we went on this holiday. For the other 10 days of our holiday, we spent them...at Walt Disney World Resort Florida!

Years ago back in 2003, I went on holiday to Disneyland Paris, which was also my first ever holiday abroad. This year is the first time I've ever been to any of the American Disney parks, and of course it had to be the big one itself. This holiday was planned for years and we decided that 2026 was THE year to have this holiday since my younger brother turned 30 and he thought it would be the perfect time to go. So we got the holiday booked and flew off to America. From Thursday the 22nd to November the 1st, we holidayed in Disney World Florida and this post will tell you all about how it went. So sit back, relax and watch the magic happen as I take you on a journey through my Disney World Adventure...

Day 1: Our First Day

The Rainforest Cafe

Prior to arriving at Disney World, we'd spent five days at Universal. We were booked into their Endless Summer hotel and during that time, we visited Discovery Cove, Universal Studios and Universal Islands of Adventure. Discovery Cove was easily the best water park I've ever been to in my life with so much swimming you can do and so many wildlife encounters you can have, including swimming with dolphins and snorkelling with fish, rays and many more. The Universal Parks were fun too, especially Islands of Adventure with its various themed areas. Dr. Suess Land and Jurassic Park were my favourites and I thought the Marvel-themed land was pretty cool. But all of that was just the warm up for me. The Disney Parks were all I really cared about. Speaking of, we had our first taste of Disney World on our first day in America when we did some shopping at Disney Springs. I managed to spend $254 just on Christmas decorations there. I couldn't help it, they had a lot to offer! XD We also dined at the Rainforest Café, which is a beautiful restaurant with good food, actual fish tanks full of tropical fish and a volcano design that actually blows fire from the top of it!

Rainforest Cafe fire

How awesome is that?!

Disney's Coronado Springs

So technically our first day in Disney World was spent shopping at Disney Springs, but I don't really count it since we were staying at Universal at the time. Our actual first day at Disney World began on October the 23rd when we moved out of Endless Summer and into Disney's Coronado Springs, a lovely resort with a mix of Mexican, Spanish and South American cultures. It's a beautiful resort with great lodges to stay in, comfortable beds, lovely scenery all around, plenty to eat and more. But the best part for me was the pool.

Coronado Springs pool

Oh god that pool! It's easily the most beautiful swimming pool I've seen in my life! It just looks so good with that ancient Mayan temple there and the pretty blue floor tiles. And given how hot Florida can be, you better believe diving in there for a swim was a mercy. I loved it whenever I got the chance to go in for a swim.

EPCOT Spaceship Earth at night

We also had our first themed restaurant dining experience as we'd booked to eat at Disney's Wilderness Lodge for a Snow White themed dinner, which was delicious and we got to meet Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey and the Wicked Queen as we ate. That should've been it for the day, but then at the last minute, we decided to take a bus ride over to EPCOT and watch the fireworks show they were showing that night. This in turn made EPCOT our first of the big four Disney parks we visited on our holiday. I have to say, night time's a good time to see EPCOT, especially when its signature landmark, Spaceship Earth, lights up in pretty colours like this.

EPCOT Fireworks

The fireworks themselves were nothing short of spectacular with lots of pretty colours and you even had waving water geysers that also had colourful lights to add to the show. It was our first day at the resort and already we were being given a taste of what kind of magic we were in for. A lovely place to stay, a delicious dinner with the Snow White cast and a spellbinding firework show? What better way to begin our Disney World adventure! The next day was when it really got underway...

Day 2: Exploring Magic Kingdom

Main Street USA

We all agreed that Magic Kingdom would be our first full day out at the Disney Parks. It is THE big one after all and the very heart of Disney World. It was perfect weather for the day too with barely any clouds and lots of sunshine. Upon entering the park, we were treated to a welcoming sight of Main Street U.S.A. and its various shops it had to offer...

Cinderella's Castle

And of course, we all got to bear witness to Magic Kingdom's most iconic building...the marvellous Cinderella Castle! To think years ago, I got the LEGO set based on it, and now I've seen the real thing! I'm not kidding when I think this is the most magnificent building I've ever seen in my life. All of us practically felt wowed and awestruck just by looking at it. Who knew a castle could evoke such feelings of joy just by seeing it? But we did more than just look at it as you'll see later in the post...

Walt Disney's Statue

Of course I had to get a picture of the famous Walt Disney and Mickey statue that's in front of the castle.

Chip N' Dale statues

And given there's a statue of mah bois Chip N' Dale, I had to get that too.

Tomorrowland Speedway

My first Disney World ride was the Tomorrowland Speedway in Tomorrowland, which was a lot of fun as you sit in these cars and push down the pedals to make them drive. They're surprisingly hard to steer though. XD I went on it a second time with my niece and nephew so they could go on it too. I sat in a car with my nephew and pushed the pedal while he steered. After that, me and my family went on the Winnie the Pooh dark ride at Fantasyland, which was also fun to see how they depicted the world of Winnie the Pooh as a ride. We also got to meet and get photos with Pooh and Tigger as we queued for the ride. Speaking of queues, me and my family managed to avoid waiting in big queues for a majority of our time here thanks to me and my brother getting Disability Access Services on our Disney World Apps, which allowed us to book times to get on the rides and use the Lightning Lanes to get on quicker. Who knew having a disability would have its advantages, eh? ;)

Festival of Fantasy

For our lunch, we dined out at the Cosmic Ray's Starlight Café at Tomorrowland.

At 2:00PM, we also watched the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. Disney parades are just something else entirely, I swear. The floats that came by were utterly incredible with various Disney films depicted in the parade from Beauty and the Beast to Frozen to Sleeping Beauty and so much more. By far the most awesome looking float was the Maleficent Dragon you see in the pic above. I loved it for its steampunk like design and aesthetic and how it actually breathes fire. After the parade was done, me and my brother went off by ourselves to go to Liberty Square and jump on the ride we were most excited to try...

The Haunted Mansion

THE HAUNTED MANSION!!!

Seemed appropriate since we were in the month of Halloween and all. Also it's one of the most iconic attractions in the park, we owed it to ourselves as Disney fans to ride it. Anyhow, me and my brother weren't scared when we went on the ride. We actually thought it was the most awesome ride we've ever been on due to its creepy and gothic atmosphere, the awesome effects with the various characters and ghosts you come across, the slow and gentle nature of the ride that suited us just fine and the architecture of the mansion itself. Ghost train rides at fairgrounds have got nothing on this ride, let me tell you! And I'm just going to spoil ahead of time that this was my favourite ride I experienced throughout all of the parks. If I was to ever come back to Disney World, I'd be racing to get on it before you can say "Disney World".

Jungle Cruise

After that, me and my family rode on one of the park's most iconic attractions, the Jungle Cruise. It was fun seeing the various animal sculptures and some of the comedic scenarios depicted on the ride while our tour guide delivers a bunch of corny one-liners and jokes in the most professional deadpan manner possible.

Peter Pan's Flight

And then we concluded our first full day out at the Disney Parks with Peter Pan's Flight. Given the queues for that one are infamous for being long, I'm so glad me and my brother had our DAS passes to get us on quickly! I remember riding a Peter Pan themed ride during our holiday at Disneyland Paris in 2003, so it was great to ride on the Disney World version. Still love how they make it look as if you're flying over set pieces of the film.

After that, we decided to call it a day and head back to the hotel to wind down. What a great first day at Magic Kingdom it was too! We did so much and tried a lot of the park's most iconic rides while also seeing a magnificent parade! The rest of our week had just as much to offer, as you'll see as we move on to...

Day 3: A Movie Themed Park Experience

Disney's Hollywood Studios

...our first day at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Of the four parks, this was the one my older brother was looking forward to the most because of Galaxy's Edge. But we didn't go there on that day for we'd had it saved for another day, so we'll cover that later. So what did we do on our first day at Hollywood Studios? Quite a lot.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway

The first thing we did that day was take a wild ride on Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. It's by far the craziest ride I've ever been on. I love how the whole thing plays out as if we've stepped into a Mickey Mouse cartoon with Goofy taking us on this train ride and as the carriages end up separated, we're whisked from one room to the next as Mickey and Minnie try to get us back on track (no pun intended). There's even one section of the ride where we end up in a ballroom and Daisy Duck carries out a dance class! It astounds me how cleverly built and operated this ride is and how they managed to pull it off. Easily my favourite ride at Hollywood Studios.

Toy Story Land

Then after that ride, we took a stroll down to Toy Story Land. As a lifelong Pixar fan and a guy who loves the first three Toy Story movies, seeing this place was just magical. They really did make it look as if the world of Toy Story has come to life here. While in Toy Story Land, I took a ride on Toy Story Mania, looked around the gift shop, got some photos with Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie and tried the Pizza Planet Spring Rolls. They were good, but I really don't understand why on the meal planner, they're classed as a meal when they should've been classed as a snack.

Toy Story Mania scores

Oh and before you ask, this was my score on Toy Story Mania. I was Player 2 in the car I was riding in. I apparently got the highest score of everyone in my family who went on the ride, so that was awesome! After that, we watched the Frozen sing-along show, which had some really funny jokes in it and some really awesome and convincing looking actors playing Anna, Elsa and Kristoff. We loved it when Elsa made it "snow" at one point in the show. I thought it was neat how they did that. Afterwards, we made our way over to ABC Commissary for lunch. For the afternoon, it was mostly watching a whole lot of shows as we watched the Beauty and the Beast show and Indiana Jones Stuntacular, which was awesome to see them perform those stunts right in front of our eyes. But the big one for me...

Magic of Animation

...was getting to see Hollywood Studio's newest attraction, the Magic of Animation studio. It only just opened back in September, so the fact it had opened up in time for me and my family to see it made the visit feel more special. If you're an animator, this place will fill you with inspiration, that's for sure. Inside, you see all kinds of facts and trivia on the walls, animation stills from various Disney films both old and new, 2-D and 3-D, an Alice in Wonderland themed children's play area and you get a whole host of character meet-and-greets. In there, I had photos with Mulan, Chip N' Dale, Donald and Daisy Duck and Stitch. There's also a drawing class, but I didn't do that until the next time we visited the park. At the end, they have an exhibit themed to Hexed, which is the next big Disney film coming up, so that was cool to see. Of all the buildings in Hollywood Studios, this is by far my favourite I've been in. Afterwards, we had some pizza at Catalina Eddie's and decided to finish our day...

Fantasmic

...by watching the incredible Fantasmic show. I do mean it when I say it was incredible! The most magical effect for me was how they projected images and scenes from Disney films onto water! There's even one part of the show where they set the water on fire! How do they do that?! It was a spellbinding watch and truly brought home the meaning of the phrase "Disney Magic". Easily the best show I've seen at any theme park.

And that was our day at Hollywood Studios. A great first impression, but it promised more to come as we waited on Galaxy's Edge. We'll get to that on Day 7, but for now, let's focus on...

Day 4: Walking On The Wild Side

Disney's Animal Kingdom

Of the four parks, Animal Kingdom was the one I was looking forward to the most and was at the top of my bucket list. I love animals and I love wildlife parks, so why wouldn't I be excited to visit here?

Tree of Life

Of course I had to get a good look at the park's signature landmark, the Tree of Life. It may not be a real tree (obviously), but it's still quite a marvel to look at with how huge it is and all the different animal carvings you can see across the trunk and roots.

To start off our wildlife adventure, we rode on the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride. It's a great trek through these huge animal enclosures that lets you see many awesome animals from zebras to giraffes to elephants and more, but it's not the best ride if you want to try and take the best photos imaginable because the truck never stays still for long and keeps on moving. You're better off using your phone to take videos and quick pics than trying to be a wildlife photographer is what I'm saying. These three pics up above are the best I could get.

Gorilla

Next, we traversed the Gorilla Walk, which is a much better place to be if you want to take really good photographs as you're not on a constantly moving truck. The gorillas were pretty active when we saw them, which was sweet. We got to see one playing with a blanket, one eating and a couple of them just walking around their beautiful enclosure. I know if I was a gorilla, I'd be happy to live there. ^^

Pandora

After that walk, we moved on to the World of Pandora. While I'm no fan of the Avatar movies and find them to be overhyped junk that's all pretty effects and nothing more, I was impressed with how they created the floating rocks here and made them look as if they're really floating. I also rode on the Na'vi River ride, which is easily the most beautiful ride I've been on with how beautifully colourful the attraction is and how they all pop so well in the dark. The Na'vi Shaman animatronic is also as impressive as people say it is. You'd almost think it was a guy in a suit at times!

Festival of the Lion King

After lunch at Pizzafari, we went to see the Festival of the Lion King show. As a lifelong fan of The Lion King, it was compulsory that I had to go and see it. The show is utterly stellar with some impressive gymnastics, costumes and props on display, and it's a tonne of fun too as it really does feel like a festival themed around The Lion King. A fantastic show and we all loved it.

Tiger

Afterwards, we went on another walk on the wild side, this time in the Asia section's Maharajah Jungle Trek. In there, we got to see some exotic birds, some bats, a Komodo Dragon, some Colobus Monkeys, and of course...the mighty tiger. We saw two in fact and while they weren't really doing anything, it didn't stop them from being a wonderful sight to see. Tigers are awesome. :D

Finding Nemo Musical

And then to finish off our roar-some day at Animal Kingdom, we watched the Finding Nemo Musical show. I think it's cool how they managed to adapt Finding Nemo into a musical and the costumes and props are pretty cool and creative. I especially loved it when bubbles showered down from the ceiling at the end of the show, which is only fitting for a show set underwater.

And...that was it. We decided to call it quits pretty early that day and went back to our hotel. But this wouldn't be our only visit to Animal Kingdom for there's more to come later on...

Day 5: Another Magical Day At The Magic Kingdom

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

We had our second day at Magic Kingdom that day. Since there were rides and attractions I had yet to do on that day, I spent most of this visit going on them. First of the bunch was Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, which is a fun attraction that feels like a combination of an arcade shooting game, laser tag and a dark ride all in one. The interior is stunning and I love how they recreated the world of Buzz Lightyear in it. As for my score...

Space Ranger Spin Scores

I could've done better. My score is on the right. The only reason I didn't do so well was because I was trying to take photos and film at the same time. Not a good idea. Afterwards, I had a third go on Tomorrowland Speedway and rode on the People Mover. It was a cool way to get an elevated view of Tomorrowland and see inside some rides such as Space Mountain, but it got pretty scary when we went through a tunnel so dark I had to put the light on my phone just so we could see. I was legit worried a sudden drop or something was going to happen! Luckily, nothing of the sort happened and the ride was nice and smooth. My niece was at the Bibbidi-Bobbidi Boutique at the time we were doing all this and as we waited for her to finish, we explored the circus-themed area and I stayed and watch as my brothers and nephew rode on the Dumbo ride and The Barnstormer. After my niece was done, we all gathered together again to visit the Princess Hall, where we got photos with Merida and Rapunzel. After that, me and my brother had a second ride on the Haunted Mansion and since we were in Liberty Square, we had to take our chance to try the famous turkey legs, which were delicious! Oh, and I'd be amiss if I didn't mention that it was on this day...

Me and Jacob Coad

...that I came across one of my closest online friends, Jacob Coad! You may remember him through DeviantArt, YouTube or the collaborations we've done together on this very blog. After I told him about our trip here, Jacob and his family planned to be there too so we could meet each other. We actually ran into each other at Tomorrowland first, but met up again outside The Haunted Mansion in where Jacob got me to sign his copies of my Silverlock Sisters books he's bought and read, he, his brother and grandfather got to meet my mum and the Coads even gave me and my younger brother some Texas themed souvenirs. They didn't have them with them on the day we met, but they did run into my younger brother again on the day we were at Galaxy's Edge and so he gave them to him then. It was sweet getting to meet a good friend like him in person for the first time. It kinda feels surreal when you've known each other on the internet for so long, and then you meet in person!

After that, we went back to the hotel early to have a rest so we could come back later and watch the park's night time shows.

Pirates of the Caribbean

After we came back, me and my brother rode on Pirates of the Caribbean as we waited for the shows to start. It's cool to see the ride that inspired the famous films, but it would've been nice if we didn't have an unexpected drop out of nowhere!

Starlight: Dream The Night Away

As night fell, we got to watch the dazzling Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade...

Magic Kingdom fireworks

...and an utterly stunning fireworks show by Cinderella's Castle. The parade was a spellbinding show with so many pretty lights and cool looking parade floats to watch drive by, but the fireworks show was the cherry on the sundae. Such a spectacular, colourful and flashy show with lots of brilliant fireworks, cool projections that transformed the castle from one colour to the next and flashing lights that truly turned night into day again. Easily the best fireworks show I've ever seen in my life!

And that was another day of magic and wonder done with. We went back to our room to sleep for the night, and come the next day, we went for...

Day 6: An Adventure At EPCOT

EPCOT

After going there at night to watch the fireworks show, we were now here to see EPCOT in all its glory and have a full day there. This was the park I was the least interested in as we were planning this holiday, yet by the end of it, I called it my second favourite of the Disney Parks due to how unique it is as both a park and a day out with its heavy themes of science, technology, nature and the world around us. We began the day by taking my niece and nephew to use the kid's play area at World Discovery and also look around the nearby shop.

Journey Through Water

After that, we went to the World Nature section so my niece could meet Moana and then we walked through the Journey Through Water section, which has a lovely Moana theme to it complete with a statue of Te Fiti herself. The fun part was all the various interactions they had with water as you went around with the most impressive one for me being one part that had trickling water that made a tune if you strummed it like a harp. That was so cool.

The Seas with Nemo & Friends

Afterwards, we took a gentle ride on The Seas with Nemo & Friends. I wanted to see the aquarium afterwards, but the kids wanted to do as many meet and greets as possible, so we decided to save it for another day at EPCOT since we planned to come back again before the holiday was over. We travelled through the World Showcase area in where we dined at the Yorkshire Fish House in the UK section. It really did feel like being back at home again eating fish n' chips like so, and they even tasted like how we Brits would've made it, so that was nice. We moved on to the French segment and met Belle, then saw the Beauty and the Beast sing along show. It was a little too short for me, but I will say it's amusing how the show tries to make it seem as if LeFou was this diehard Belle and Beast shipper who was manipulating events to get them to fall in love. It's so obviously not serious about it that it becomes funny. It also felt somewhat bittersweet getting to hear Angela Lansbury's voice again in that show since she passed away a few years ago.

Frozen Ever After

We travelled on and on until we reached the Norway section of Around the World and had a ride on Frozen Ever After, which has some neat animatronics and a section where you go backwards. It does have a drop, but it wasn't so bad as we were able to see it coming. After the ride, we got a pic with Anna and Elsa respectively. We then moved onto Mexico and rode on the Three Caballeros Grand Fiesta Tour. That was a fun ride and nice to see Donald, Jose and Panchito as the famous trio getting up to hijinks and such. After that, we finished off by meeting Asha, Mickey, Goofy and Minnie. It was especially nice to see Asha around since Wish has sadly become the whipping boy of Disney films and was an embarrassing failure that should've celebrated 100 years of Disney, but instead has become mocked and jeered for very stupid reasons. At least Disney aren't pretending Wish didn't happen and are still letting the film get represented around the parks. Even The Black Cauldron, Treasure Planet and Atlantis are lucky if they get acknowledged at all!

After that, our day at EPCOT was over and we called it a day. I was bummed I had to miss out on riding on Journey Into Imagination as I really wanted to do that, but the kids wanting to meet so many characters just ate up too much of the day, so we've had to save it for later. Before that, it was time to return to Hollywood Studios the next day...

Day 7: A Day Spent In A Galaxy Far, Far Away...

The Millennium Falcon

This day was planned from the start to be an all day experience at Galaxy's Edge, the Star Wars themed area of Disney's Hollywood Studios. I wasn't there all day, but a majority of it was still spent there. We began the day by meeting Darth Vader and Olaf before we arrived at Galaxy's Edge. Then we spent a lot of the morning exploring the area and just revelling in the Star Wars atmosphere. This Millennium Falcon replica is especially impressive. We also met Din Djarin and Grogu on our way around. But the real fun stuff came in when my brothers...

My brother's lightsaber

...built their own lightsabers. That's my younger brother, whom you'll know as Captain Conroy over on YouTube, with the purple lightsaber he built as you see here. My older brother built a green one. I kinda wish I'd done it too, but I decided to go for something else. Before that, we dined at Docking Bay 7, which was by far my favourite place we went to eat in all of Disney World. Pork ribs and mac n' cheese is an interesting combination, as was this kind of bread that tasted more like a sponge cake.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

We then went on one of Galaxy's Edge's most beloved rides, Rise of the Resistance. It's a trackless dark ride like Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway in where you're in a car that takes you from one room to the next, but instead of feeling like you're in a Mickey Mouse cartoon, this ride makes you feel like you're in a Star Wars movie. It was a little intense for my liking, but still an awesome ride and probably the best ride out of everything I've been on during this holiday. It's so cool and creative with immersive sets, how you move around from one room to the next and using motion simulators to sell the illusion we're in space. After that thrill ride, we took a moment to relax as me and my nephew had our turn to build something....

My droid at Galaxy's Edge

...a droid. I built this BB-unit you see in the picture. I thought black and silver was too cool to pass up and I wanted a BB-unit for its unique design and how it'd be easier to pack in our suitcases to take home. I call him BB-43 since 43 is my favourite number. Don't ask why, it just...is. XD It also takes plenty of practicing to get the hang of driving it around given its unorthodox shape and all. My nephew built an R2-unit, but I didn't get a photo of it, so I can't show it you. Let's just say his droid was...colourful. XD After that, I decided to call it quits at Galaxy's Edge and move on with mum, my older brother's wife and my niece to do other things I wanted to do at Hollywood Studios.

The Little Mermaid Musical Show

This included seeing The Little Mermaid Musical Show with its impressive puppetry and animatronics but not-so-impressive looking CGI animation...

Me and Joy

...venturing to the Pixar Plaza in where I got this adorable picture with Joy from Inside Out...

Olaf Draws

...and then went back to the Magic of Animation Studio in where this time, we were able to attend the Olaf Draws! show. In our class, we learned how to draw Donald Duck as taught by a professional animator at Disney.

My drawing of Donald

Here's my result. Not bad, eh? :)

And aside from another dinner at Catalina Eddie's, that was it. We were done for the day and called it quits. Still, watching my brothers build lightsabers, getting to build my own droid and getting to learn how to draw like a Disney animator, can't complain about a day like that, eh?

Day 8: Two Parks In One Day

Cinderella's Royal Table

We certainly got the royal treatment for this day as we began with breakfast at Cinderella's Castle. What a way to start the day, eh? Seeing the castle was one thing, but actually getting to go INSIDE IT?! I never could've anticipated this! Not only is the interior quite grand and welcoming, but the breakfast itself was delicious. We got served a basket of pastries and muffins to start off with and then our mains, which for me I ordered the shrimp and Smokey Gouda Grits. As we ate, we got to meet and get photographs with various Disney Princesses, which included Jasmine, Merida, Ariel and Snow White. A tasty meal and getting photos with Disney Princesses? No one does breakfast like Cinderella's Castle!

it's a small world

After breakfast, we saw to doing whatever rides and attractions we hadn't done yet. These included going on the small ride with the big earworm, it's a small word, in which it's another ride I knew I had to try for its iconography. While not the most amazing ride ever, it was cute seeing the various parts of the world depicted in this cutsey cartoonish style and the song itself is pretty cute too.

Then next, we rode on Under the Sea: Journey of the Little Mermaid in where it's the movie depicted as a ride and features an odd looking Ariel animatronic, and then we participated in Enchanted Tales With Belle in which I got to play the part of one of the knights...

...and then we finished off by attending the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, which is true to its name because it definitely did give us some good laughs. After that, we decided to move on to Animal Kingdom again rather than spend another full day at Magic Kingdom, so we hopped on a bus to get there and spend the second half of our day at Disney's wildest park again.

Wildlife Express

For the half spent at Animal Kingdom, we had a light lunch at Harambe Market and rode on the Wildlife Express train to Conservation Station. That place lets you walk into an exhibit full of wallabies and kangaroos and see lots of reptiles and bugs, and even has the opportunity for the little ones to meet Bluey. While my family aren't into Bluey, not even the kids, I still thought that was cute.

Crocodile at Animal Kingdom

Once we were done there, we had another ride on the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride and saw a lot more animals than we did the first time. I was especially happy because unlike the first ride, I did get to see a crocodile. They're my favourite animals, so seeing one will naturally make me happy.

Kali River Rapids

Then we concluded the day by riding the Kali River Rapids ride, in which I got the most drenched out of my family due to the raft being position so I was facing the front when it went down the drop. I didn't care since it was stinkin' hot that day, so it was good to get a cool off. XD

And that was our day done with. Two parks in one go and we had a good go on what they had to offer. It was also at that point where I was feeling a little sad for our Disney World adventure was coming to a close. I was having such a good time that...I almost didn't want it to end. But I knew I had so much to look forward to back in England, so I didn't let it get me down. We had two days left, so there was still much to do before it was over...

Day 9: Another Double Dose

Walt Disney Railroad

We all agreed that the best course of action was to do Magic Kingdom one last time, then finish with EPCOT as we had unfinished business there. For this day, we started off by riding the Disney World Railroad from Main Street U.S.A. to Storybook Circus in Fantasyland. It's especially cool how this particular train has Walt Disney's name on it. After that, since we knew this was our last day in Magic Kingdom, me and Captain Conroy absolutely had to have one last ride on the Haunted Mansion. Can't finish off without going on your favourite ride one last time, eh? We also had another go on Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin as that was my second favourite ride I've been on in Magic Kingdom. And if you're wondering...

...my score was a lot better now I wasn't trying to film and take photos at the same time. ;) After that, Captain Conroy wanted to visit the Hall of Presidents, so we did just that. We only looked at the displays though, we didn't see the show they host there since we didn't have time for it.

Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade

And then we finished off our day at Magic Kingdom by watching the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade parade. While more brief than other parades, it was a fun watch with a kickass song playing all the way and some surprising appearances from characters that don't get as much rep in Disney merch or park appearances such as Terk from Tarzan and even Pocahontas! And thus with that fun and jolly note to end on, we departed Magic Kingdom by ferry to get to a Monorail station to travel from there to EPCOT. It was my first time ever riding a Monorail, so that was a nice new experience. Naturally gave me Jurassic World vibes, even though that movie didn't invent park monorails. XD

Upon arrival, we dined at the Sunshine Seasons restaurant and me and Captain Conroy had a ride on the Living with the Land boat ride that took us through EPCOT's greenhouses to see the plants and vegetables they grow. Definitely not something you get in other parks, eh? And since we had to skip it last time, this time we were able to go to the Finding Nemo aquarium and watch all the various sea creatures they had in their tanks. They had A LOT to show from rays to hammerhead sharks to manatees to sea dragons and even turtles! It was quite an impressive aquarium, that's for sure. My niece and nephew especially loved watching the animals and taking pictures. ^^ But of course, there was one last thing I wanted to do before we finished at EPCOT...

Journey into Imagination

Yep, I finally got my turn to ride on the iconic Journey into Imagination ride. It's a fun dark ride that has the beloved Figment messing around with Professor Nigel Channing (played by the legendary Eric Idle) as Nigel tries to explain how imagination works scientifically while Figment shows that imagination doesn't work like that. The coolest part for me is when we go through an upside down room. And naturally, I love the "One Little Spark" song at the end. No wonder this ride's so beloved.

Day 10: The End Of Our Holiday

Fantasia Mickey statue

And thus we came to our final day at Disney World. It was certainly a bittersweet feeling, because we didn't want the joy and the magic of the holiday to end. But as we know, nothing lasts forever. This day was actually meant to be the day we flew home, but a change in flight plans ended up giving us this extra day at the park, so we actually got an extra day for our holiday. How did we spend it? Pretty leisurely.

We rode by Skyliner from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT and then took a boat ride down to the Sawn And Dolphin resort to play the Fantasia Mini-Golf, which I came second in and scored THREE hole-in-ones, which is pretty impressive for me! The course itself is brilliantly designed and lovingly homages Fantasia with how the different holes reference various parts of the movie and we even get statues of characters like Yen Sid, Sorcerer Mickey and more. Then after that, we took a boat ride back to Hollywood Studios in where our Disney World holiday fully concluded with another meal at Docking Bay 7 at Galaxy's Edge and one last ride on Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. Definitely a good last ride to finish the holiday on. :D After that, we moved onto another hotel in which we spent the night there until it was time to fly home the next day. Thus our Disney World holiday was brought to a close after so much fun, magic and family time spent during those 10 wonderful days at the resort...

Conclusion

Disney Castle at night

And that was my Disney World Adventure. What a holiday it was too! Easily my best holiday ever and the holiday of a lifetime! As a lifelong Disney fan, this was truly a dream come true and I'm glad I got to experience these parks at some point in my life. I only wish dad could've been here to enjoy it with us. Still, it was truly an epic time away and I'll cherish these memories I've made forever. To finish off, I'll give you some of my favourite things about my Disney World Adventure and some highlights...

Favourite Park: Magic Kingdom

Favourite Ride: The Haunted Mansion

Best Ride: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Craziest Ride: Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway

Prettiest Ride: Na'vi River Ride

Best Eating Place: Docking Bay 7 at Galaxy's Edge

Favourite Disney World Snack: Tie between the turkey legs and the Mickey Mouse Ice-Cream Sandwich

Favourite Interactive Area: Journey Through Water at EPCOT

Best Show: Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios

Best Parade: Festival of Fantasy at Magic Kingdom

Favourite Attraction: Magic of Animation Studio at Hollywood Studios

Favourite Character Meet n' Greet: Merida, mainly because of how fun her actress was and how she was clearly loving her job and playing Merida.

Biggest Highlights: Experiencing the parks with my family, my niece and nephew having the time of their lives and meeting Jacob in person.

Some day, it'd be great to go back again. But for now, I have only the memories I've made of Disney World to go by. Will I ever go again? Only time will tell...

And that's it for this post. I hope you enjoyed reading about it as much as I've enjoyed writing about it! Feel free to share your own Disney World Adventures down below. What were your favourite parks and attractions? Which rides did you love the most? Do tell me.

Great photos, first time I ever seen you in real life along with Jacob lad.. didn't expect he's big while you small smiley faces! XD

I heard Disney himself has darker side during his time such being sexist.

This is a great time you got to have with Jacob and your family. Nice that you got to be at those awesome places in Disney World as your time has been very magical and a nice way to celebrate 100 Years of Disney, well plus 2 or 3. :)

I am happy for ya buddy and a lot of great photos there. :)

Great to hear you had a fun time at Walt Disney World. I know I did as well. :D

Haunted Mansion is also my favorite, but I also really like Rock n Roller Coaster starring the Muppets, Star Tours, Rise of the Resistance, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. :D

And yeah, it was a definite highlight to finally meet you in person. It did feel a little surreal to me as well, but I'm so glad we met at the end. :)

Also fun fact for some of y'all: Kali River Rapids was Michael Jackson's favorite Disney ride; so much so they have him on a mural as you wait on the ride.…

It’s so awesome seeing these photos and it’s funny to hear about some of the challenges you found on the rides. I didn’t know you hated sudden drops :) you got a good photo of the Imagination scene with Tod and Copper there, it’s nice the Fox and the Hound is getting some love in the parks. I love the photos of the gorilla you got! He looks so bloody awesome! Mum loves the essay and she said you should write a book about it!
